Jeepney Guy

Just had a super bad experience today. I was on my way to SM fairview, so I rode a jeepney to get there. Unfortunately, on the way, the jeepney became packed with people and I ended up with an asshole beside me. At first I didn't give much attention to him but later on, I realized that he was trying to grab me. *bleep* When I looked at him, he just smiled at me and said, "ang sikip noh?!" The smile he gave looked menacing, with all his rotten teeth showing. Eww! I tried to cover myself the best I could and I just wanted to get off the jeepney even if I didn't arrive at my destination yet. He tried one last time, when the driver pulled the brakes, but to no avail. I gave him an angry stare and elbowed him in the ribs. I guess that finally made him decide to get off the jeepney so he said, "para!" but not after he told me, "umurong ka kasi para hinde ka naiipit!" and then he pinched me. He fucking pinched me!

Why are there perverts like that jeepney guy?! What kind of pleasure do they get from what they do?!

I've heard numerous stories regarding this kind of sexual harassment. But they've always remained second-hand stories until now. Now I know how women feel when they are harassed. Although my experience is a "minor" one, I can't help but relate to them. I've attended several symposium that gives awareness for this kind of harassment, and yet, at that moment, I didn't know what to do. I was near tears, my mind was racing, but I couldn't think of a single way to deal with my "attacker" and how to teach him a damn lesson. This is one experience I never wanna go through again… Ever! So, to all you girls out there, beware of perverts like jeepney guy. Always be armed and don't look helpless.

All I can say is that I really enjoyed this movie and I know you'll enjoy it too. Where else can you see hunks with six-packs everywhere… I couldn't stop staring, let alone blink. Yahoo!

Another One of Those Days

This day started and ended the same way it did yesterday… and the other day. Nothing exciting seems to be going on in my life. I am so not used to this. I live for excitement! I'm afraid that this boredom will make me a dull person… please help me… i am begging you. have mercy! One of these days, i fear i might just snap and go insane just because of boredom…

Then, I realize that there's something I have to look forward to - the weekend! You remember from my previous post that my hubby promised to take me to puerto galera? Well, he said he's going to take me there this weekend. Just the two of us… whee! That got me excited. Ha! ha! Goodbye dullness! that is, as of the moment only. Let's wait and see what will happen next week. Maybe I should initiate a get-together with my friends or whatever… hmmm… I'll ponder on that thought.

I just noticed… that for the past three weeks that I've had my bangs, this is actually the first time that I felt it was bugging me. The way it covers my (cutie) eyes and gets in the way of my line of vision. It's irritating! But, putting that aside, I love my bangs. I love my new look.

The Number 23

Since it's the weekend, I finally got to watch a movie. Yey!=)

I was debating on watching either The Ghost Rider starring Nicholas Cage, or The Fountain starring Hugh Jackman and Rachel Weisz, or Music and Lyrics starring Hugh Grant and Drew Barrymore. Since my hubby wanted to watch The number 23…then I had no choice…ehehe.

Tne number 23 is a movie starring Jim Carrey. It is different from his usual movies because, this time, the movie is full of suspense. He plays the role of Walter Sparrow, an animal control officer who has a wife and a kid. One day, while he was on duty, he was bitten by a dog named Ned. That incident made him late in meeting his wife. While waiting for him to show up, his wife stumbled upon a book entitled The Number 23 and was written by a Topsy Kretts. She buys the book for him. And as he begins reading the book, he relates with the author. He relates everything that happens in his life to the number 23…creepy! At the end of the movie, he finds out that he actually wrote the book. He wrote it after he killed an ex-girlfriend and he sort of just snapped. He tried to jump off a building but he lived and ended up in a mental institute. When he got better and left the institute, that's when he met his wife. He just sort of forgot about that time in his life and forgot about the book.

For me, the movie was an utter disappointment. I guess it wasn't what I expected. Imagine, my hubby even fell asleep during a certain part of the movie. It was dragging and predictable. What a waste of money! Maybe Jim Carrey should stick to comedy.

Beach!

Now that february is almost over… and summer is fast-approaching… I can't help but reminisce of those times when I was back home in Zamboanga City. Since we live just 15mins away from the beach, we, our whole family, went there every Sunday (what we call our family day). That was in the past. Since I got married, I live with my hubby in qc…my ate is in makati…my parents and younger brother are in Florida…my kuya and his wife are the only ones left in zamboanga. Going to the beach together, as of now, isn't just possible. Haay…i miss those times! =(

I miss the sea breeze blowing my hair…the salt spray on my face…the feel of the sand on my toes…I even miss the sunburn!!!

Just this afternoon, I had a craving to go to the beach. Since I'm in qc, it's sorta not possible. So, I searched the net for beach destinations at an affordable price… and I came up with Puerto Galera. My first option was really El Nido but…wait a minute…magastos! so, sa puerto na lang…hihi. My hubby promised to take me there one of these days. Just the two of us. It will be like a long overdue honeymoon…ehehe! (chipipay! sa puerto galera lang!)
