face your fears
April 11, 2007i promised myself i'd go to the dentist… that was last week. after a series of minor toothaches that came and went, i felt like it was time to face my fears of dentists. but up 'til now, i never had the courage to actually go visit a dentist and consult about my aching tooth. i've always feared visits to the dentist. this is especially true when i was a little girl. whenever the dentist checks up my teeth and tells my mom that she has to pull one out, i would instantly cry. having my tooth pulled out is very painful (for me). i wish my mom was here right now to accompany me to the dentist! …but i know that sooner, rather than later, i'd have to face this fear. because the time will come when i will have to accompany my daughter to the dentist and, somehow, i have to be strong for her.
