back to school

sana by this time maging busy na ako!

nakakamiss talaga ang elbi pag ganitong time. wala pa masyado ginagawa. i remember everytime after we’ve registered for the semester, me, sol and bing (aka the Powerpuff Girls) go to the salon for some pampering. most of the time in the form of foot spa. And we would have lunch at McDo-Vega. never miss! hehe.. that was before. they’ve both graduated and moved on with their lives now. *sigh* now, i’m alone. with no one to talk to. i really miss my friends..

i miss the Bitches’ afternoon sessions at Corner or Bonito’s.

i miss dancing in the rain with nanay and ahya.

i miss the midnight chitchat with carlyness.

i miss the midnight snacks and jogging with ahya.

i miss partying at FoxRiver with the Inmates.

i miss the secret “trips” with kat and duday.

i miss the Agapita times spent with the brods.

i miss a lot of things. especially the little ones i’ve most often taken for granted. if only..

my hair is long.. no more

just had my hair cut short after a very very long time.. (ala Katie Holmes) hihi. i really had no plans of cutting my hair this short but when i saw katie holmes in the cover of OK! magazine, i said to myself 'its about time to have a new hairstyle!' hihi.. i'll post a pic of my new haircut once i get around my busy schedule. hihi.. right now, i really have to study but i just want to unwind a little.. excuses!

the week that was

it's almost midnight now.. but i can't get to sleep. my eyes won't shut.. maybe its because i just woke up. ehehe… had a hell of a week! i never even had the time to unwind and take in some alchol.. hihi.. except maybe for the one shot of Carlos I. i couldn't resist the temptation.. even if i had an exam the following day. hihi.. spent the night drinking coffee and listening to good music while studying (effective ba? Malay ko! hehe..). a lot has happened the past week. got the chance to go on an overnight swimming but i had to leave early to finish a report, tried to quit smoking (and i guess i'm getting there. *fingers crossed*), finished three reports, took two exams, played basketball and volleyball over the weekend. Whew! but still i gained 10 lbs! 10 lbs! i can't believe it! despite all the stress, i still gained weight.. so depressing! ehehe.. 

there are still a lot of things i really really wanna share.. but i think now is not the right time. i'll just keep mum about the other things happening in my life right now.. that is, for now. hihi.. 'til i get the chance to post again.. sigh.. i can't wait for the semestral break.. but at the same time, i don't want it to come. it would mean no classes to go to. and everyone will be in their own provinces taking a vacation.. and i will be left alone. it's a good thing i have cerise and my sister around.. what a relief! plus, i'm looking forward to duday's civil wedding on oct. 20. CONGRATULATIONS to you guys! i'm so excited for you and the baby!

haay…kakamiss ang old times…i still remember those times when we would go out on "gimiks" in elbi wherein ako lang ang girl…hehe…ako ang prinsesa nila…hehe. miss you guys! and see you all soon! *mwahness* 

i’m back!

whew! it's been a rather long time since my last post. i've still been busy with school. and i think i will only be able to update this blog every weekend. *sad* but i'm also happy to be back in school. and this time, i have to give my everything to finally graduate! 

yesterday, i accompanied a friend to get her anti-rabies shot…and, since we haven't had the chance to have a heart-to-heart for quite a long time, we grabbed that opportunity. i found out that i've missed a lot of chismis when i wasn't enrolled last semester, and now i'm trying to catch up…hihi. i sympathize her but, at the same time,  i am not in a position to conclude since i have only heard her side regarding the matter. *sigh* life is so freakin' COMPLICATED!   

news flash!!! i am now a morning person. *clap* *clap* for the first time in my life, i wake up at 5am everyday without the help of my alarm clock. i don't know how it happened, it just did…hihi. maybe next week i can start jogging before going to class, watchatink??! hihi.  

from kalinga with love

i've been to kalinga and back…and i must say, i had a wonderful experience there. although it was difficult to go there and the truck ride and trek was tiresome, it all disappeared when i saw the breathtaking view of Lubo. plus, the smiles on the children's faces when they received their school supplies was priceless. 

i really have no time right now to write a long post so this will be a short one. i will be updating this blog later on when i finish my UP papers. wish me luck!

getting ready

finally, i get to post again. i've been busy lately what with the arrival of my baby(?) brother and coming to and from elbi…exhausting!  here's a short recap of the week that was:

may 21. went to elbi, thus, i missed fetching my brother from the airport.

may 22. went home to makati for a get-together with my ChemSoc batchmates. it was a really fun night. too bad there were only 7 of us (out of 22). guys, sana next time mas madami tayo. 

may 23. went back to elbi. met alumni brods and a baguio sis. then went back to makati.

may 24. my brother left for zamboanga. went "shopping" for our climb to kalinga tomorrow…and right now, i'm trying to pack my clothes and other stuff we need for the climb.

i'll have more news when come back on sunday. 'til then, see yah! 

labor day

as i mentioned in my previous post, i went to elbi to watch, from a distance, the graduation rites of UPLB. when i got there, the ceremony already started and it was super hot! so i opted to stay in foxriver (that's the name we gave our apartment, in honor of prison break…hihi). anyway, i stayed there 'til 8pm. i convinced jo to accompany me to the field where the graduation rites was almost finished but we ran into teri who asked us to wait for her. and so, we did. it took an eternity for her to finish what she was doing so when we arrived at the field, the graduation was already finished and there were only a few of the graduates left. good thing my friends were still there having a photo op session with their family and friends. after that, we went to sol's apartment for her "handa", bringing along teri and nick. we were so full that, after a few picture taking, we went straight home and felt sleepy. but…when we arrived at foxriver, madam was there waiting for us because she didn't have a key to the house. instead of sleeping/resting, we went into a mahjong frenzy but not after we taught teri how to play it. we spent the rest of the night ('til the wee hours) playing. then we slept beside each other in one room because, rumor has it, that our house was haunted. scary!

the following day, i was supposed to attend a wedding/baptism/birthday party but i wasn't able to due to diarrhea. super sakit ng tiyan namin ni teri, as in! we were so dehydrated and hungry but we couln't stop from going to the comfort room to unload. the funny thing was, dan arrived with his whole family and his mom needed to use the cr. i was really embarassed because i just finished using it and didn't smell good. ewww! i was supposed to go home that day but due to my current situation, i couldn't. also, i didn't have enough money for the bus fare…hihi. poor me!

so, my supposedly overnight stay in elbi led to 3 days of mahjong frenzy…hihi. i had fun but it was really boring on monday morning because they had to go to class. and i was left home alone, with only blu to accompany me. that afternoon, bgurl arrived (thank God!). she agreed to sponsor me for the rest of my stay (food, fare, etc…) that night, the latest "love team" was revealed. congrats! we had such a fun time playing mahjong, at the same time, drinking –our favorite pastimes. hihi.

graduation day

tomorrow, april 28, saturday…UPLB graduation day. i will be attending the ceremony but only from a distance. i will only be there to watch my friends march and share in the festivities. i won't be graduating this year and i'm not even sure if i will be graduating at all! gawd! this is so embarassing for me…never in my wildest dreams did i see things happening this way. was i that bad a person to deserve all this? i guess it's (entirely) my fault. kasalanan ko lahat! there's nobody to blame but MYSELF.

anyway, on a lighter note, i'm happy for those graduating this year. CONGRATULATIONS to all graduates! especially to sol&carh, joy, wongki, les, thin, and myca. also to jay, my ate's boyfriend. i hope i didn't miss anyone. baka magtampo…haha…as if nagbabasa sila dito.

weekend party

first of all, i just want to say…

Happy Birthday, Danielito! 

spent the weekend in elbi (again!). the main purpose of my visit was to attend a 2-day meeting, which eventually led to two nights of nonstop partying! yahoo! i was able to bond once again with my sisses, at the same time, i was able to finally voice out some sentiments to one person, which i kept hidden for quite a while. to sum it all up, i had a blast! it was really fun listening to the same old stories…hihi.

one unforgettable incident that i witnessed while i was there was seeing this drunk guy sprawled out on the street with his bicycle. at first, we thought he was hit by the tricycle that stopped near him. it turns out the tricycle driver was just having a closer look at the guy and see what really happened to him. we saw puke all over, that's when we concluded that he was just drunk and wasn't seriously hurt. what we did was we woke him up and tried to move him to the side of the road. we offered to get him a ride home but he refused. he said he was okay (but we knew he wasn't) and insisted that he could go home on his own via his bicycle. we couldn't stop him from mounting his bike and falling again. he already had several bruises and scratches from his falls but still he wouldn't stop from trying. eventually, we gave up. we left him on the side of the road and gave him time to sleep, then we hid his bicycle among the bushes…now, i wonder what happened to him…did he ever get home?

lessons learned: 

1. do not drink and drive (even if its just a bicycle)
2. drink moderately
3. if you plan to get wasted, make sure you have a companion who's sober
